■ARGONCHANNELでMarcanが怒っているようです
ことの始まりはARGON2というMODチップの開発元がTeam Twiizersに
ARGON2を取り付けたWii本体でのみ動作するHomebrew実行環境の話を
持ちかけてきてTeam Twiizersがそれを拒否したことから始まり、
その後リリースされたARGONCHANNELが任天堂の著作物であるIOS16を
利用、配布していたり、Twiligh Hackのファイルを勝手に同梱していたり
裏でwaninkokoが協力していたりと、まぁごたごたしているようです。
■フラットケーブルに接続するタイプのMODチップ
FLATMIIを皮切りにフラットケーブルに接続するタイプの
Wii用MODチップがアナウンスされています。
Drivekey iis a plug-and-play solderless solution for ALL
current wii drives. It has region overrride features (USA/JAP/PAL/KOR),
works with both Wii and GC games, including titles like Super Mario
Galaxy and SSBB. It is currently in production and will start shipping
next week. Full features and specifications will be announced on the
website soon. I have attached a picture of a handsoldered prototype used
for testing!
The Matrix Team have announced a new Nintendo Wii modification chip that has an on-board SATA adapter that can connect to a stand alone hard drive for quick loading of your legal backup collection. It comes with 2Mbit of flash, requires no soldering and lets you retain the original functionality of your drive.
Note that the chip pictured is a prototype and will be much smaller when produced. The chip will be able to boot images via a menu or burnt backup discs. We should have more details including all of the technical specifications in a couple of days.
最後のWiiZiiはSATA端子を持ちHDDなどを接続できるようなことが書いてありますが
・情報がMatrix Teamから直接ではない、
・Matrix Team自体が2006年から音沙汰がない
・写真のSATA端子端子部分が既存のSATA-IDE変換アダプタによく似ている
などの理由からFTATMII、DriveKeyの購入を様子見させるための
偽情報ではないか？といわれています。
